Different and challenging

Most word games dont keep me interested very long, but this one has me wanting to level up and try to get to the last dungeon. Awesome game!

Creative but flawed

I enjoyed the premise of the game but unfortunately it is not as compelling as it could be. The gameplay is repetitive and there is little incentive to keep going. The graphics are limited, and using similar (if not the same) letters over and over again per level takes the fun out of assembling words.

Good fun Game

This game gives the feel of a fantasy game without taking ours to play. I typical games goes for about twenty minutes, and you feel like youve improved your spelling on the way. The treasures you find are hilarious "you find a delicious vibrating princess", for example

Great job!

Replace a scrabble board with a string of monster fights, and you have a good idea what this game is about. Your words become "attack" spells, and there are opportunities to improve your players life, attack power, etc. Its an incredibly cool idea, and works really well. One of the beat word games you can find :)

Excellent game!

This is a super word game with a solid dictionary behind it. My one bug gripe is the auto save. The way to save and quit in the middle is by just hitting the Home button. If you exit to the menu, thats the same as giving up. It does NOT save if you exit to the main menu. Could definitely use a small interface fix to address that....

Good frantic fun if shallow for RPG fans

Making words under time pressure works well. The RPG elements are pretty slight though, so dont expect any deep strategy elements. The randomly generated rewards for killing bosses are a bit insulting.

I suspect this is a good game...

...but its hard to tell with such incomplete instructions. For example, they state some tiles are "stackable" but dont mention what stacking is or how to do it. Another: when I finish a level, it will say I found some object, but I dont know what the object is to be used for or how to access it. As is it now, this game is just another anagram game with pictures of monsters. Please dev, update the game with a full tutorial so that your customers arent forced to spend time to figure it out by themselves!

Love it

I like rpg and puzzle games but usually HATE word games like bookworm. This one is the exception. Like everything about it. The different difficulty modes are very helpful. I am on kid mode LOL but my friend that does like word games would use wizard mode. This makes it accessible or challenging as you want. I would like to know what the loot is for. If it is simply treasure I want a trophy page!

A fun twist on a simple idea

Im really enjoying playing this game. A few more detailed instructions would be helpful, but killing monsters plus word game equals awesomesauce. I think the rewards at the end of the dungeon levels are random and funny-not meant to be taken seriously. Great game!

Unique approach, awesome word game

Title says it all, spending way too much time with this! Best rank is 29 so far, just missed the ;(&$ leaderboard. Argh!

Kewl mash-up

This is a fascinating mash-up of Textropolis and a Dungeoncrawl, that most closely matches the gameplay of Popcaps Bookworm Adventures (which is brilliant, BTW), if youve seen or played that game. The player is presented with a tray of letters and must tap them in the proper sequence to form words. A monster will attack from the inset dungeon room and the spelled words inflict an amount of damage that corresponds to the length of word spelled and the quality of tiles used. Its quite fun, but it does end, unlike most of the competing word games that dont include the monster mash elements.

I like this game but..

Good game, good concept but i wish the graphic an visual effect were better! Good start tho..!

Addictive and original!

This is a really fun and unexpected mix of a word game and dungeon hack. I really like this game a lot! Its my new favorite iPhone app for sure. I must say its a touch difficult at times...but that just inspires me to keep hacking away at vile rats, evil skeletons, and other dungeon dwellers. Great game!!!

In some ways, misleading

In some ways, the game play is misleading, especially by the pictures. There is no user based exploration or interaction - everything is basically on rails. After you defeat a foe, there is a chest... and IF you can click it in time and the iphone registers it, you will open it for a new temp letter. This is one area that SHOULD have been automatic. The how-to and help files are surprisingly sparse on this point, as well as the (non)purpose of the post stage treasure. I would have preferred more rpg elements, like a store, or equipment, etc...

good mash of puzzle quest and scrabble

This is a good if short game. You make up words from a stack of tiles to defeat several monsters. Every word you make damages the monster while they hit you. Your health bar is essentially a timer; the monsters hit you with a set frequency reducing your health. If your health hits 0 its game over. There are 25 dungeons with 6 monsters in each. Once in while, when you defeat monsters you can get skill or health or luck increase (increases your chance of magic items). Youll also get special tiles that are health potions or extra damage. Theres no save so you need to start from the beginning. Once you finish theres not much reason to play over except to get a higher score. And the gameplay isnt that varied. Itd be nice for the monsters to have more character. For example, some need you to make 4 letter words to damage them but otherwise they only really vary in their health.

Whod a guessed?!

Now I dont like word games, though I have a large vocabulary. This dev, a cool dude who Ive emailed, really came up with a winner putting these two together. Got my attention! I really dig this and his other game Mind Wall!!! Keep up the great job!

Dungeon Scroll

I love RPG and word games. A wonderful combination of the two. Definitely worth the small price to play!

This one turned me

Im not a fan of word games but somehow this one has become one of my favs. Its rewarding and fun with a sprinkle of stragety. I would love to see more enemies, bonuses, and upgrades in the next update. Great game and worth the two bucks. Still looking for more power words!

Love it - now make it better

Great fun, and an awesome concept. Need to make an unlimited level option, add some more monsters. Actually finding items that would be of use in future levels after you clear a level would be cool. Frankly, Id like room for 9 letter words. Great job.

Awsome game

Wow, great game. Very usefull for word play. Hey Seth if you read these, I have chatted with you several times in past years back in bbs days running Lortd. I was the northern cal. Lortd hub for long time. Was hoping you would put Lotrd on iPhone but I read its not yours anymore. Well nice to see your still working on better stuff. Great game.
