I thought this was a interesting concept, a hybrid Text Twist (or Wurdle or Scrabble)/RPG type of game. The only problem I found was that it was too easy. I finished the game on the hardest level, and now feel like theres nothing left to accomplish. It was definitely entertaining while I played it though!

This game is flawlessly executed and a great way to kill time trying to climb the leaderboards. I would love to see a sequel or update with more dungeon crawling!

This game had great potential but some serious flaws. I started out thinking "Wow what a great game!" then I died.... You die its game over. No continue. No retry. You start over at the beginning and have to go through from the beginning of the game. This wouldnt be so bad except for when you die instantly due to big fingers and hitting the wrong letters by accident. Imagine playing a game for 30 minutes, having full health but accidently hiting an S instead of an A and dieing instantly... back to the beginning. My second gripe. No information. Once again another game where you have no idea how some things work. Would definetly be a 5 star game if it wasnt for some serious flaws. As it stands now not sure if its worth the $2 price.

I love this game, easily worth the money.

Ive been playing DS for a while, and there have been no upgrades, or any response to problems reported. My highscores are not recognized when it should be in the global top 10. There are other glitches throughout the game. I think the creators have abandoned their supporters!

Bookwormers and RPG fans beware, this is one of the, if not the most addictive mix of the genre... Just plain awesomeness, you attack creeps forming words, the longer the more damage you inflict.. There are loot to collect (read as power-ups to aid you in battle). The difficulty increases in each level. It has global high scores board but I wish they would implement a social network API (such as OpenFeint, Plus+, Crystal, etc) to track Achievements and compare score with friends.

Mix together Word Warp with a lite version of Puzzle Quest. Simply executed and fun to play. Looking forward to sequel with a little more depth!

Love it! I would write more but theres no point in my gushing. Its simple: love this app so much.

This is a wonderful game but I hope there will be more levels added, especially for those of us who enjoy a challenge! Keep em coming!

Ive loved this game since it was first released on PC, and it is still just as awesome now. Dungeon Scroll takes the simple concept of a word game and actually makes it exciting (unlike 99% of all other word games out there). You are a wizard casting "spells" (words) to damage a monster. As time passes, the monster will deal damage to you- so there is an element tension, a driving force. You can spell lots of short, simple words quickly and kill your enemies that way, but by doing so you cant achieve the points to get on the leaderboard. Some enemies require at least 4 letter words to be damaged, while others deal damage very quickly but only have a little bit of hp. Then there are the boss monsters with lots of hp and damage, who make you scramble for new words before you lose all your health. This is a simple idea but the execution makes it very enjoyable while offering the player enough choices for complexity. I only wish that there was a sequel, with even more depth and different monsters. Maybe you could even take this a step further and add in RPG/leveling elements?

It doesnt have all the depth or strategy, but its definitely fun and worth getting. An underrated fun little game.

a good word game but dont expect a story or any real rpg elements. nothing like puzzlequest but as I said, decent word game

Not much depth. Good job on sound, but "itemization" is pretty dumb and takes away from environment (even though items dont do anything).

This is oneof the most interesting word games out there. It is linear as others said but the power ups and word length strategy add depth. I had no crashes, nor have I seen any bugs. The higher difficulty is extremely difficult.

Needs better save option and letter exchange. Otherwise one of my favorite word games!!

All i ask is an update that upscales it for the iPad. Love this game.

I like a lot, and it is my favorite word game, but I wish there was a bit more of rpg in it. Overall, a very good game, though.

Excellent fun, find it more challenging than other word games (especially when bomb monster appears). Really enjoy the RPG componant! Would not want to change current version though would like to see an option with stronger RPG componant. Regarding save feature - this frustrated me at first, however, finishing the game was all the more satisfying once achieved! This is definately worth playing, very unique.

Mixing word play with RPG elements work great. The one qualm I have is that it would be nice to look at the players stats. It wouldnt hurt to have a simple story involved, too. And you should add additional save-slots in case I want to share my ipod with friends who want to play their own separate game. (Thats why Im not marking it 5 stars. Because as good as this game is, there are some simple features that can be added to make it much better.)
