Ive loved this game since it was first released on PC, and it is still just as awesome now.
Dungeon Scroll takes the simple concept of a word game and actually makes it exciting (unlike 99% of all other word games out there). You are a wizard casting "spells" (words) to damage a monster. As time passes, the monster will deal damage to you- so there is an element tension, a driving force. You can spell lots of short, simple words quickly and kill your enemies that way, but by doing so you cant achieve the points to get on the leaderboard. Some enemies require at least 4 letter words to be damaged, while others deal damage very quickly but only have a little bit of hp. Then there are the boss monsters with lots of hp and damage, who make you scramble for new words before you lose all your health.
This is a simple idea but the execution makes it very enjoyable while offering the player enough choices for complexity. I only wish that there was a sequel, with even more depth and different monsters. Maybe you could even take this a step further and add in RPG/leveling elements?
